Wah.. wah...
Ngeliat judulnya aja udah langsung tertarik yah...
Memang klo kita membahas tentang judul diatas gak ada habisnya soalnya terlalu luas untuk dibahasakan ;))...
tapi kali ini kita cuma akan membahas tentang jaringan LAN (Local Area Network) yang berarti jaringan dalam lokal atau cuma di satu area...
Jenis jaringan ini biasanya digunakan di gedung perkantoran maupun di sekolah :d tapi yang paling sering digunakan di warnet ..:P
berikut ini penjelasan mengenai LAN dan cara membangun jaringan LAN :

1. Membangun jaringan komputer

Sistem Operasi Windows7
Setelah jaringan secara fisik terinstall, maka Anda harus mengkonfigurasi IP Address masing –masing computer sehingga dapat saling berkomunikasi/terko neksi.    IP Address adalah pengalamatan  jaringan computer yang terdiri dari 32 bit biner. Untuk membuat jaringan LAN anda dapat menggunakan IP Address salah satu kelas dibawah ini :

Kelas A : 10.x.x.x  dengan subnet mask 255.0.0.0
Kelas B : 172.16.x.x – 172.31.x.x dengan subnet mask 255.255.0.0
Kelas C : 192.168.x.x dengan subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Dalam satu jaringan LAN, semua komputer harus menggunakan kelas yang sama. Pada praktek kali ini kita menggunakan Kelas C. Karena jumlah computer yang terkoneksi sedikit, dimana kelas C ini mampu mengkoneksikan maksimal 254 komputer. Jadi kita menggunakan IP :
192.168.x.x dengan Subnet 255.255.255.0
255.255.255.0 maksudnya 24 bit pada IP Address merupakan network address sedangkan 8 bit berikutnya adalah host ID (ingat 255 jika dibinerkan ada 8 bit   yaitu 11111111). Nilai x di atas dapat di  isi terserah dengan range 1 - 254. Jadi :
192.168.x => adalah Network address sedangkan x =>Host ID
Jadi Range alamat IP Address LAN kita nantinya = 192.168.1.1 – 192.168.1.254 Subnetmask 255.255.255.0  (jika bingung dengan keterangan di atas, selalu pakai range IP Address ini saja bila ingin membangun LAN)
Pada kali ini kita akan menggunakan network address 192.168.1 dan host ID antara 1 -254.  (Nama pada masing- masing computer harus unik artinya jika ada computer dengan IP Address 192.168.1.1 maka tidak boleh ada computer lain dalam satu LAN yang mempunyai IP Adress tersebut)
Cara Mengeset IP Addess adalah sebagai berikut :
Klik Start => Control Panel
Pilih Menu “Network and Internet” => Pilih Menu “Network and Sharing Center”
Pilih “Change Adapter” => Cari Local Area Network” => Klik kanan “Properties”

Pilih “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP)”


Masukkan  data-data  IP Address. IP Address  computer  1 adalah 192.168.1.1 komputer 2 : 192.168.1.2 dst, dengan subnet mask 255.255.255.0 .sedangkan untuk gateway dikosongkan saja, karena jaringan LAN tidak terhubung ke jaringan LAN lain/internet.

Setelah data-data setting TCP/IP ini dimasukkan, klik OK untuk menutup kotak dialog Internet Connection (TCP/IP) Properties.
Klick OK untuk menutup kotak dialog “Local Area Connection Properties”
Lakukan hal serupa pada computer lain, hanya berbeda di bagian IP address, masukan selain angka 1 di bagian paling belakang, contoh : 192.168.1.2 dan seterusnya.
Untuk mengecek koneksi, buka kotak dialog RUN, dan ketikkan CMD sampai keluar kotak dialog baru “command”
Lakukan test ping koneksi dengan computer sebelah (computer dengan ip address 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, dsb), dengan mengetik pada command prompt: ping[spasi]ipyangdituju seperti gambar di bawah ini :

Jika koneksi belum terbangun dengan baik maka akan muncul tampilan seperti gambar di bawah ini :

Lakukan pengecekan/ping sekali lagi.
Jika koneksi sudah terbangun maka akan muncul tampilan :
C:\Users/Arunaru>ping 192.168.1.2

Sistem Operasi Linux
Lakukan setting jaringan seperti di bawah ini :
Mode Grafis
Klik System => admininstrator => Network
Klik Wired Connection
Klik Properties
Pastikan “Enable Roaming Mode”  tidak aktif
Pilih “Static IP Address” pada baris “Configuration”
Isikan IP Address dan netmask.
Masuk ke terminal (Application => Accessoris => Terminal)
Ketik sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart.
Mode Teks
Masuk ke terminal (Application => Accessoris => Terminal)
Ketik perintah
$ sudo ip addr add 192.168.1.1/24 brd + dev eth0
Untuk melakukan tes koneksi misalnya ke komputer dengan ip address 192.168.1.2, ketik perintah :Ping 192.168.1.2
Perhatikan output perintah ping, jika reply berarti komputer tersebut telah tersambung dengan komputer lain.
Pastikan default firewall tidak aktif sebelum melakukan ping ke komputer lain.

2. Melakukan sharing file
Langkahnya pada windows 7 klik menu start dalam kolom pencarian ketik network and sharing center akan muncul jendela klik menu Change Advances Sharing Setting.

Pada jendela Change Advances Sharing Setting pastikan settinganya sebagai berikut scroll kebawah pada  Password Protected Sharing anda turn off kan agar lebih memudahkan anda tanpa harus mengetikan password, kemudian klik Save Setting.

Buka windows explorer pada windows 7 pilih icon network pada jendela ini pilih komputer windows vista network untuk melihat directory vista lalu klik muncul seperti ini.

Klik user dan browse file file yang ada dalam windows vista tersebut dan sebaliknya pada windows vista bisa melakukan browsing file pada directory windows 7.
Sharing Files In Windows 7 and XP
Sharing folders between two Windows 7 machines with the new HomeGroup feature is an easy process, but the HomeGroup feature is not compatible with Vista or XP.  For this tutorial we are using Windows 7 x64 RC1 and XP Professional SP3 connected through a basic Linksys home wireless router.
First make sure both machines are members of the same Workgroup which by default is named Workgroup.
 
On the Windows 7 machine go into Control Panel \ All Control Panel Items \ Network and Sharing Center then click on Change advanced sharing settings.


You will want to verify the following settings under Advanced Sharing Settings for the Home or Work and Public profile.

If you want any user to have access the public shares turn off password protection.  This is located in Advanced Sharing Settings toward the bottom of the list.

If you want to keep it enabled make sure there is a log in account for the other XP machines and they have a password.

Now if you go into Network in Windows 7 you should see your XP machine and the Windows 7 as well which in this case is Mysticgeek-PC.

To share the printer on the Windows 7 machine go into Devices and Printers from the Start menu and double click on the printer icon.

Next double click on “Customize your printer”.

In the Properties screen click on the Sharing Tab and check the box to share the printer and type in its share name.

If your XP machine is an x86 OS you can install Additional Drivers before setting up the XP machine.
 
To find the shared folders and devices double click on the Windows 7 machine icon under Network.  Here you can see the printer connected to my Windows 7 machine is shared and also the Users Folder.

Continue into the Users folder and Public to see the shared folders, here I also created a folder called XP Share just to keep everything in central location.

Over on your XP machine open up My Network Places to find the Windows 7 (mysticgeek-pc) shared folder.

Double click on the Share folder to find a list of shared folders in the Public folder on Windows 7.  If you have password protection enabled you will need to type in the username and password of the user account on the Windows 7 machine first.

Setup XP With Shared Printer
To set up the shared printer in XP you will need to go into Printers and Faxes from the Start menu and kick off the Add Printer Wizard.

Now select “A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer” then hit Next.

Next select “Connect to this printer…” and type in the path for the printer connected to the Windows 7 machine and click next.  

Now click Yes to the confirmation message.

Then click Finish the printer to install and complete the Wizard.

In some cases you will need to install the x86 XP drivers for the shared printer because the Windows 7 drivers are not compatible with XP.  When everything is installed open up Printers and Faxes to find the shared printer.

This should help you get started with sharing your files and other devices with your Windows 7 machine.  When I first started I was able to see the printer on XP right away because I had a HomeGroup set up, but once I deleted it I needed to share the printer like you would for a workgroup.  You might also have to do a couple restarts of the XP machine for it to see the shared resources on Windows 7.  If you have had any experiences with sharing between Windows 7 and XP leave us a comment!


3. Melakukan sharing printer
Dengan adanya printer sharing maka satu computer dapat digunakan oleh semua computer dalam jaringan LAN, langkah-langkahnya adalah sebagai berikut :
Klik start => printers and faxes.
Pilih printer yang akan kita shares dan pilih sharing.

Beri nama printer (yang akan muncul di network ) pada share name dan klik OK.
